A few things you might like to know before joining us.
Do I need to be an interior designer or antiques expert?
Not at all. Our tours are for anyone with a curiosity for beautiful objects, interiors and the stories behind them. Whether you're a seasoned collector or just beginning, we'll teach you how to recognise quality, negotiate with dealers and develop confidence in your own personal taste.
What is included in the tour?
Accommodation, all transport throughout the tour, meals, most beverages, market visits, private dealer appointments, creative workshops and a few surprises along the way. We'll also have a private chef preparing dinners at our residence. International flights and personal purchases are not included.
How many guests will be joining?
We keep our tours intentionally intimate, with a maximum of eight guests, although six is our ideal number. This allows us to spend meaningful time with everyone, particularly when sourcing together.
Will I have help choosing pieces?
Absolutely. Before departure, Claire offers each guest a complimentary 2.5-hour design consultation to understand their home, personal style and what they might be searching for. Throughout the tour, Claire and Ella will be by your side, offering advice, sharing knowledge and helping you find pieces that feel distinctly yours.
What happens to everything I purchase?
We'll take care of coordinating the logistics of your purchases within France and assist with arranging international freight back to Australia. International shipping costs are additional. Once the container arrives, we'll bring everyone together for a little reunion to celebrate our finds.
Is the tour all about shopping?
Far from it. Alongside the markets and private brocantes, expect beautiful meals, long conversations, art classes, extraordinary surroundings and plenty of time to enjoy the experience. We'll finish with a small exhibition of our artwork and discoveries — a show and tell for grown-ups, if you will.
Can I come on my own?
Please do! Many of our guests join independently. Part of the pleasure is meeting like-minded people and leaving with new friendships, shared stories and perhaps a few more objects than anticipated.
What is the cost, and how do I secure my place?
The tour is priced at AUD $9,800 per person or $13,720 per couple. A 50% deposit is required to secure your place, with the remaining balance payable according to your booking agreement.
